Either remove the awning from its frame or set up a ladder to reach the top of the awning.
How to remove a sunsetter fabric awning.
Have a person grab hold of each awning leg.
Soak the awning with the cleaning solution and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Soak the awning with clean water.
Work with 1 or 2 other people to slide the fabric out of the track.
Remove the front bar from the fabric and place aside for reuse later in reassembly.
Lift the legs up off the ground and begin to walk alongside the rv towards the end of the track that you split open.
Install new fabric on your retractable patio awning.
Hold the front bar and loosen the left front bar insert with a 5mm allen wrench and pull the insert out of the front bar.
Using the manual crank wand continue to unroll the fabric until you expose the fabric slot in the roller bar.
Open the awning and allow the fabric to completely unroll.
If your retractable awning is fairly large you will likely need another person or two to help you properly slide the spline out to remove the worn fabric and then re insert the replacement material.
