Use a table saw or circular saw to cut a patch from a good piece of vinyl. Use the vinyl zip tool to detach the siding from the nailing strip above. Always work from end to end when removing a panel. Don t nail the heads tightly or the siding will buckle when it warms up.

Pull siding away from house and cut through the bottom edge with aviation snips. With the new piece nailed use the zip tool to lock the upper piece down over it. It ll better match the house. The patch should be larger than the piece you removed.
